Naventic and McIntyre Part Ways

Thu 23rd Jun 2016 - 2:43am General Gaming Announcements Media

Effective immediately, Naventic has released Stafford "McIntyre" McIntyre. An original member of BRFC, McIntyre has always been one of the most charismatic and uplifting players in North America. While we appreciate McIntyre's devotion to Heroes of the Storm and the Naventic organization, we believe releasing him is the best decision for both parties, moving forward.

When Naventic was formed, it has always been our goal to be the best, not just the best in North America, but the best in the world. It is no secret the competition in the Asian scenes is incredibly strong and in order for us to compete and win over with those teams, we felt a change was needed.

We understand there may be some resistance from the community given McIntyre's popularity and skill level, but we believe this is our best shot at competing with the Asian powerhouses. We are looking to compete at the highest level.

"I want to first applaud McIntyre for his attitude and positivity throughout the last month. Many players would’ve crumbled under the pressure that he was under but he’s one of the more mentally strong and positive players that I’ve ever seen. McIntyre has treated the entire situation with class and I appreciate the amount of effort and time that he’s put into the team and himself. This change will hopefully increase our team’s ceiling and our capabilities on the global stage. We know that this transition will not be easy but we are doing everything to prepare for the Fall season. I still believe that McIntyre is a top player in NA and will land on a high caliber team. We will miss McIntyre and his uplifting attitude towards the team and the game."
